Could not know the mind of God
The thought is not “I need more of the Holy Spirit”.
The question is “how much of you, does the Holy Spirit have?”
John 14:15-18 “If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He
will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom
the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He
dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
John 14:25-28 “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. 26 But the
Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things,
and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you, My peace
I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it
be afraid. 28 You have heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’ If you
loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater
than I.
John 16:5-11 “But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are
You going?’ 6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7
Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away,
the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has
come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because
they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no
more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
John 16:12-15 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13
However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not
speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to
come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things
that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.
Isaiah 44:1-5
“Yet hear now, O Jacob My servant,
And Israel whom I have chosen.
2 Thus says the Lord who made you
And formed you from the womb, who will help you:
‘Fear not, O Jacob My servant;
And you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.
3 For I will pour water on him who is thirsty,
And floods on the dry ground;
I will pour My Spirit on your descendants,
And My blessing on your offspring;
4 They will spring up among the grass
Like willows by the watercourses.’
John 4:13-14
New King James Version
13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but
whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give
him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
John 4:23-24
New King James Version
23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit
and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship
Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
1 Corinthians 2:9-16 New King James Version
9 But as it is written:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the
deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man
which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we
have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the
things that have been freely given to us by God. 13 These things we also speak, not in words
which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with
spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are
foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who
is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For “who has known
the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
Come join us this year as we dive into this person of the Trinity of the God Head and learn to
welcome Him and listen to Him!
